'It's all about money, and yet it's not'
Doordat alles duurder wordt hebben ook mensen met een baan moeite om de eindjes aan elkaar te knopen. Twee derde (66%) van de HR-professionals merkt dit aan medewerkers en driekwart (77%) geeft aan dat zij door de prijsstijgingen meer begrip hebben voor financiële problemen bij medewerkers.*
Medewerkers praten niet over geldproblemen uit schaamte of angst om afgewezen te worden. Met alle gevolgen van dien. Praten over geld, en helemaal over persoonlijke schaarste is iets wat we niet makkelijk doen. We hebben het niet geleerd. Niet thuis, niet op school en niet vanuit de media en maatschappij. Beter niet de vuile was buiten hangen, doorbijten en het zelf fixen.
Als money coach en geldpsycholoog is het mijn opdracht om het gesprek hierover te openen. Een goed gesprek over geld en de psychologie erachter kan namelijk wonderen doen. Zeker omdat ieder mens zijn eigen onbewuste destructieve patronen en overtuigingen leeft wanneer het aankomt op financiën. In arm en rijk. Dit inzicht alleen al vermindert stress, het gevoel van er alleen voor te staan en geeft meer vertrouwen naar oplossingen.

Once I lived a life with three small children in a flat with borrowed things. The money was gone and I was terrified to end up on the street with the children. That was my rock bottom.
